The daily music geography game. Five tracks. One globe.
▶ Play today's roundPast answersGeoTracks Music is a free daily music geography game. Every day there are five questions about music history (where an album was recorded, where a band formed, where a famous concert happened) and you answer by tapping the spot on a globe. The closer you are, the more points you get.
Yes. It is free to play in any web browser on your phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to download and no account to make.
A new round goes live every day at midnight in your own time zone. Everyone plays the same five questions on the same date, so scores can be compared fairly.
Each question is worth up to 1,000 points, so a perfect day is 5,000. A tap within 25 km (15 miles) of the right spot is a perfect 1,000. After that you lose 25 points for every 100 km, and anything 4,000 km (2,500 miles) or more away scores 0.
During question 3 a satellite drifts across the screen. Tap it to unlock a bonus question after question 5, worth up to 500 extra points. Bonus points are shown with a star and are kept separate from the 5,000.
Yes. Open the menu and choose Previous days to replay earlier rounds for practice. Practice rounds do not change your streak or the leaderboard. You can also browse past answers at geotracks.app/archive.
Yes. Make a private group in Menu → Groups and send the invite link. Your group gets its own leaderboard for today and for the last 7 days. You can also share your score with a challenge link so a friend can try to beat you on the same day.
The GeoTracks team writes and fact-checks every question, and every answer links to its source. Music creators can also write a whole day as a Question Master at geotracks.app/create.
No. Your streak and stats are saved on your device. To move them to another phone or computer, use Menu → Play on another device to get a one-time link code.
English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French and German. Change it in the menu under Settings.
